The Department for Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) has announced that the importers of high risk, and regulated and notifiable plants must register to use IPAFFS to submit pre-notifications, and upload supporting phytosanitary documents and obtain quarantine release from June 2022.
The IPAFFS system replaces the Procedure for Electronic Application for Certificates from the Horticultural Marketing Inspectorate (PEACH).
The IT Plants Systems Team in Defra will contact importers in June 2022 to invite them to register for IPAFFS and attend introductory webinars for training. If you are a plant importer and you have not received an invitation from Defra, please contact them using the following email address: Defra-SPSIT-Plant_comms_enquiries@defra.gov.uk.
Alinea Customs can provide full support with the IPAFFS administrative system, including submitting pre-notifications on behalf of traders and advising on Plant Health compliance. For more information please contact our team on 0207 101 4242 or customs@alineacustoms.com.
